Pokémon GO needed a way to tell the world that the notorious baddies Team GO Rocket would be arriving into the game.
The solution, a New York City takeover.

The day after the ads were put up, Team Rocket vandalised them to announce their arrival.
Team Rocket were caught red handed arriving into the city.
We documented their movements throughout the day on Pokémon Go's social channels.
Team Rocket also hacked digital screens.
Oh! There was also a plane asking for Trainers help defeating Team Rocket.
We also made some Giphy stickers of the graffiti.
